Aviation Club lunch
The UK Aviation Club welcomes its first ever speaker from Latin America next week when Aeromexico CEO Dr Andres Conesa joins the second lunch of the year on Wednesday (8 March) in central London.
He is expected to speak about the Mexican flag carrier’s importance as a carrier in the US, and the need for a new airport at Mexico City.
He is also likely to touch on Aeromexico’s board decision earlier this month to accept Delta Air Lines’ offer to increase its stake in the airline to 49%.
Aviation Club chairman Jane Johnston said: “We are delighted to welcome Dr Conesa, especially at such an exciting time for Aeromexico and for Mexico’s growing importance as a hub for Latin America.
“The Mexican market is growing and is one of the largest in Latin America, and of course it is forging a new relationship with the US.
It will be fascinating to hear first-hand from Dr Conesa about his plans for Aeromexico and his views on the new liberal air services agreement with the US.”
