Design Hotels adds six

Six new properties across four continents are joining the Design Hotels collection, complementing a portfolio of more than 290 members. The company says the new additions “epitomise the ethos and values of Design Hotels, from effortless living paired with mindful design to the regeneration of treasured buildings”.

Starting in the group’s home city of Berlin, the first new arrival, Provocateur, is a collaboration between three of the company’s founders, Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu from Roomers and Liran Wizman from Sir Hotels.

It is inspired by 1920s’ Paris and Berlin’s Charlottenburg area, while the latest addition to the Sir Hotels stable, Sir Adam, is a cultural, artistic, and culinary gathering place in the new heart of Amsterdam.

In Lisbon, the 5-star Altis Belém Hotel & Spa features a spectacular waterfront setting and acts as a gateway to the old and new districts of the Portuguese capital. It has 50 rooms including five suites.

Across the Atlantic, Chicago’s iconic Coyote Building plays host to another Design Hotels newcomer, The Robey. Another heritage building also forms the foundations of a new Singapore arrival, The Warehouse Hotel on Robertson Quay, while Seoul is represented by the 210-room Glad Live Hotel.
