Free wi-fi service has been extended to 4hr at Stansted as part of the airport’s customer service improvement programme, with enhanced coverage to make it available in all main passenger areas including check-in, arrivals and at the gate.
Passengers can also charge mobile devices at free-to-use points in most of the bars and restaurants as well as built-in charging points in the “red box” seating areas within the departure lounge.
Security and customer service director Daniel Gallo said: “Delivering great customer service and facilities is at the forefront of our on-going investment programme to transform Stansted and create the best possible passenger experience.
“It’s clear from customer feedback and our own surveys what really matters to passengers when they are at the airport and which services they value the most, including access to reliable and convenient free wi-fi, so it’s vital we are able to respond positively and meet those expectations.
“The extension of the free wi-fi service is the latest example of a host of key service enhancements we’ve recently introduced at the airport or have in the pipeline, and another step along our journey to keep improving the passenger experience.”
