Birmingham easyHotel debut

Business travellers to Birmingham will be able to take advantage of a new “super-budget” branded place to stay from Thursday (9 February) as easyHotel opens its first property in the city, near New Street station, with rates from £19.99 a night.

Company CEO Guy Parsons said: “Birmingham was voted the most popular destination outside London for meetings, conferences and events for six successive years in an industry survey and this opening marks an exciting time for the brand.

“We are expanding rapidly both in the UK and across Europe, and I’m delighted Birmingham is the first city to open this year. We are confident easyHotel will appeal to business and leisure travellers alike and look forward to building our brand here.”

The 86-room property features standard, twin and family bedrooms, all with air-conditioning, heating and with en-suite showers.

The easyHotel company is owner, developer, operator and franchiser of what it calls “super budget” branded hotels. It has three properties in the UK and operates in six countries across mainland Europe and in the UAE.

Further hotels are planned to open in Amsterdam, Liverpool and Manchester this spring.
