A new hub is being created at Birmingham Airport by bmi regional to launch three new European routes – to Graz (Austria), Nuremburg (Germany) and Gothenburg (Sweden) over the next four months.
Services to Graz start on 27 February, initially with a twice weekly service on Mondays and Fridays, increasing to four times weekly in March. Nuremberg and Gothenburg routes begin on 8 May, with six return flights a week.
Bmi chief commercial officer Jochen Schnadt said: “These flights from Birmingham will form part of our ever expanding portfolio as we continue to offer passengers up-and-coming destinations. We anticipate all three routes to be popular.
“We’re also happy to be bringing once again the bmi regional level of quality, convenience, service and professionalism to travellers from the Midlands.”
Birmingham Airport aviation director William Pearson added: “It’s great news that bmi regional will be offering flights to Nuremberg, Gothenburg and Graz this year.
“All three routes are currently un-served from Birmingham and we thank bmi regional for filling these gaps and offering passengers the chance to visit these destinations with an airline that offers excellent service, efficiency and value.”
