Hilton now a DoubleTree

Following a £2.5m investment programme, Hilton Worldwide has rebranded its Hilton Edinburgh Airport property as a DoubleTree hotel. It is 5min from the airport terminal and seven miles from the city centre, with good access to public transport.

The new-look property has 150 refurbished guestrooms, all-day dining and traditional Scottish dishes in the Space Restaurant and 22 meeting rooms with natural daylight and modern décor.

Guests can also participate in the free-to-join loyalty programme, Hilton HHonors, which offers benefits including exclusive member rates, free wi-fi, digital check-in with room selection and access to private concerts or sought-after events.

Another addition to the DoubleTree portfolio is the former Hilton Swindon, which has also undergone an investment and renovation programme covering all 171 rooms, the 14 Twelve Brasserie, 15 meeting rooms including a 350-capacity ballroom, and a renovated fitness centre.

Since launching in the UK in 2008, the DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio has grown to 32 properties. Recent additions include properties at Strathclyde, Bristol North, Dartford Bridge and Southampton.

There are now more than 90 DoubleTree properties operating across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
