London's Churchill reopens

Hyatt’s UK flagship, The Hyatt Regency London, The Churchill, has reopened after a multi-million pound refurbishment which has seen new décor and the addition of six new guest rooms, bringing the total number of rooms and suites to 440.

The Business Centre is now situated in the ground-floor Escape Bar near the front desk and the hotel's meeting rooms with a range of facilities including laptop computers, free internet access, a wireless printer and multiple smartphone charging stations.

There is also the Regency Club on the eighth floor with its own reception and concierge and two lounges offering guests free refreshments and snacks throughout the day.

Building on its connections with Winston Churchill, the hotel as part of the refurbishment worked with the family to source original artwork, furniture and fabrics, using designs to highlight the former prime minister’s style and taste.

Photographs and love letters sent between Churchill and his wife Clementine are displayed throughout, while the Churchill Bar and Terrace features books that reflect the couple’s interests.

Alongside the Churchill Bar are three more restaurants serving modern European cuisine, including the Michelin-starred Locanda Locatelli. For meetings, there are 11 venues with capacity for 10 to 350 people.
