Passengers are being promised “a year of change” on Qatar Airways as the carrier introduces a series of upgrades to on-board products and services culminating in a new Business Class seat.
The company, which is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its debut in the US market, has also confirmed 8 January 2018 as the launch date for its new four-times-weekly link between Doha and Las Vegas using the B777-200LR.
First in the upgrade line this month are new amenity kits in Economy Class which the airline says have a focus on simplicity and functionality while offering products like lip balm and eyeshades designed to make journeys more comfortable and relaxing.
This latest addition to the on-board product portfolio follows the recent launch of new amenity kits complemented by a new sleeper suit design from luxury brand the White Company for Business Class and First Class passengers.
Qatar says the new Business Class seat this year will set out “to revolutionise the premium cabin experience” and will feature a design that will be patented to prevent any other airline replicating it.
Qatar operates 72 flights a week from the UK to Doha – 42 flights from Heathrow, 16 from Manchester, seven from Edinburgh and seven from Birmingham.
