Bristol boost by bmi regional

The successful bmi regional operation at Bristol Airport, from where it operates seven routes, has prompted the airline to boost its Bristol – Milan schedule to a total of five weekly departures.

There will now be daily departures on Saturdays and Sundays, while the company has also added a flight from Bristol on Wednesday evenings, returning Thursday mornings, to its existing double-daily services on Mondays and Fridays.

All bmi regional services include a 23kg hold luggage allowance, free in-flight drinks and snacks, allocated leather seating and 30min check-in.

Chief commercial officer Jochen Schnadt said: “Bristol Airport is a key UK hub for bmi regional and one which we are continually growing and developing.

“Earlier this year, we enhanced our routes from Bristol to Dusseldorf and Munich. This latest addition further complements our existing network and is a direct response to our customer needs for improved connectivity between south-west England and Europe."

In a separate development, bmi regional has implemented technology from Sabre Corporation that will enable its branded fares to be sold by travel agencies.

The new technology is integrated into the Sabre Red retailing platform and equips travel agency subscribers to personalise the travel experience for customers.
