JW Marriott arrives in Chengdu

Luxury brand JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has made its debut in Chengdu with a new 5-star property featuring 289 rooms and 47 suites and sweeping views of the city’s newest landmarks, the Sichuan Library and Chengdu Museum.

The hotel, which also has an executive lounge, is centrally located in the hub of the bustling business district next to Tianfu Square and the famed Kuan & Zhai Alleys.

It also offers more than 1,800sq m of multi-functional event spaces, each equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual systems and comprehensive business facilities.

Another feature is a 966sq m pillar-less Grand Ballroom which boasts a floor-to-ceiling showcase window and connects to a private rooftop pre-function area with garden.

The ballroom can host a reception for 700 guests or a theatre-style meeting for 800 and can also be transformed into three smaller venues. An additional eight multi-purpose function rooms provide settings for any event.

Marriott International is managing the property as part of a long-term relationship with owning company Maoye International marking the first of five planned projects in China.

The opening marks the company’s 13th JW Marriott hotel in China, signifying “commitment to strengthen further our luxury brand portfolio in the country”.
