Bournemouth’s Hilton

Now fully up and running the brand new Bournemouth Hilton offers 24hr room service, a full gym and 20m swimming pool in the spa area.

Its location, just by the Winter Garden, and a very short walk from the main shopping area, is ideal for visitors to the resort, which is in a period of renaissance following major infrastructure investment, and Premier League success of its soccer team.

The LEVEL8IGHT Sky Bar with panoramic views over the town has quickly established as a major Bournemouth.  The bar offers a vast range of cocktails at prices ranging from £10 to £15.  Traditional British ales are also on tap.

On the ground floor Schpoons & Forx, (spoons and forks decor) a somewhat oddly named restaurant, is chef and broadcaster Matt Tebbutt's modern British eatery featuring a very lively open kitchen.  It is fascinating to watch meals coming together, but if you prefer to be surprised just sit in an alcove away from the cooking area.

BTN is not in the dining review business, but we did try some of the generous helpings of sharing starters including cured herring, beetroot & sour cream and a locally sourced farm asparagus, deep fried camembert, apple & radish salad.

Schpoons & Forx is already a key part of Bournemouth's upscale dining scene.
