Lisbon sports hotel

Pestana Hotel Group has announced the opening of Pestana CR7 Lisboa in the heart of the Baixa.  Named after soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo (hence the CR7) it repeats a similar concept opened in Funchal (Madeira), his place of birth.  The new lifestyle hotel offers what it claims is an innovative concept on hospitality “providing guests with a truly unique experience to create moments of fun with the people that matter”.
 
Animated screens in the lifts explore Cristiano Ronaldo’s life story and surround sound sensors in the staircases project the noises of cheering fans in a football stadium. In the rooms, the world of sports continues with a detailed sequence of seven footsteps on the carpets.

All the rooms are equipped with high-speed wi-fi, Apple TV as well as Bluetooth audio, HDMI connections and LED lighting in the showers.  The top CR7 Suite includes a Playstation 4 and Virtual Reality Glasses.  Guests are also provided with wi-fi To Go, allowing them to stay connected both inside and outside the hotel.
 
Open to both visitors and hotel guests, CR7 Corner Bar & Bistro includes traditional Portuguese dishes as well as classic favourites. To compliment the meal, Liquid Consulting’s best mixologists have created a bespoke cocktail list.
