T3 move complete for Delta

All Delta Air Lines flights from London are now operating from Heathrow’s Terminal 3 after the company completed its move from T4 last week.

In total, Delta operates 11 daily flights non-stop to eight US cities from Heathrow, with departures to New York-JFK, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Boston, Salt Lake City, Philadelphia and Seattle.

Terminal 3 is the home of Delta’s joint-venture partner Virgin Atlantic, meaning the move puts all the two airlines’ transatlantic flights under one roof to make life easier for passengers.

Delta has closed its arrivals lounge in T4 as a result of the move, with eligible passengers now invited to use Virgin’s Revivals arrivals lounge in T3, which offers spa treatments, showers, valet service, a cooked-to-order breakfast, and free wi-fi. Delta is also closing own arrivals lounge in T3 from tomorrow (20 September).

Elsewhere, Delta is growing its network by adding more flights from Boston, with new routes to San Francisco and Nashville. The carrier begins flying a Delta Connection service to Nashville on 6 November and a twice-daily service to San Francisco next  June using the B757-200. It has also announced more flights to Milwaukee and Seattle from Boston.
