Codeshare deals for flybe
Flybe is extending its influence with two more significant partnerships, Singapore Airlines and Air Berlin. The Singapore Airlines partnership was greeted by the Far East carrier as a means of “vastly increasing its accessibility to UK consumers”.
Describing it as an “exciting collaboration”, SIA said the link-up meant more than 100 of its destinations across South-East Asia and Australasia were now more accessible than ever for UK consumers.
Passengers from 19 UK towns and cities are now able to book to fly with Singapore Airlines long-haul with flybe connections departing from their local airports.
SIA also noted the new flybe partnership opened up additional connections via Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Dusseldorf, with several of the cities now able to connect to Singapore Airlines’ array of destinations for the first time.
In the second codeshare deal with Air Berlin, the German carrier will place its code on the regional carrier’s routes from Birmingham, Cardiff, Doncaster, Manchester and Southampton to Germany.
It will also add the code on its new intra-European routes from Hannover to Lyon and Milan that started this month.
