Responding to demand from business travellers, Qatar Airways is providing UK-based passengers with more capacity to Muscat from 1 August with the addition of an extra flight to its existing schedule.
The move will increase the number of daily services between Doha and Muscat to five, giving a total of 35 flights a week from Hamad International Airport.
Passengers travelling from Muscat will now have increased access to the rest of the world via more connections through Hamad International Airport, which features the carrier’s award-winning Al Mourjan Business Class Lounge.
Country manager UK and Ireland Richard Oliver said: “The additional flight follows increased demand on the route. Both Doha and Muscat are popular cities that offer business, cultural and leisure opportunities to travellers.”
The new flight to Muscat will be operated by A320 aircraft in a two-class Business and Economy configuration.
This year, travellers will continue to see Qatar Airways expand its global reach. So far in 2016, it has launched routes to Los Angeles, Ras Al Khaimah, Sydney (Australia), Boston, Birmingham, Adelaide, Yerevan, Atlanta and Marrakech.
New routes from this month will include Pisa, Sarajevo, Windhoek, Helsinki, Skopje, Krabi, Seychelles and Chiang Mai.
