Conrad opens in Philippines

Hilton Worldwide has opened its first Conrad property in the Philippines, with the unveiling of the Conrad Manila.

The 347-room hotel is situated within the Mall of Asia complex in Manila’s reclamation development, known as Bay City.

The hotel group says the building’s architecture was inspired “by the shipping vessels that ply the bay”. The hotel has direct access via walking bridges to the adjacent SMX convention centre.

Room features include 42in TVs, Nespresso machines and hydrotherapy showers, while suites and executive rooms have bay or city views, TVs inset into the bathroom mirrors, and access to an executive lounge.

The third floor of the hotel features an infinity pool and there is a 24hr gym and spa facilities with six treatment rooms, soaking tubs, private sauna and steam room.

The hotel’s food and beverage outlets include China Blue by Jeremy Leung, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the bay, and Brasserie on 3 offering al fresco dining and a chef’s table.

There are two ballrooms and four halls for meetings and events, plus an outdoor garden space called the Veranda. 

Hilton’s Conrad brand recently opened its first Indian property in Pune and has announced plans for its first Qatar hotel, scheduled to open in 2019 in Doha.
