You might just have missed Father’s Day, but it’s not too late to buy your dad the ideal gift, courtesy of e-Go aeroplanes.
The strictly-for-enthusiasts company, based at Conington near Cambridge, has just handed over its first production – um – aircraft.
New owner William Burnett, who flew Vulcans “many years ago”, is unfazed. “There is really nothing that compares with this aircraft,” he said. “It’s such fun.”
The e-Go costs from £50,000 and ownership costs are said to be low, mainly because it runs on petrol from your local garage.
