Hilton Worldwide is entering Argentina with its mid-priced brand Hampton by Hilton after signing a franchise licence agreement with Free Way Group to build a hotel in San Carlos de Bariloche, in the Andes foothills.
Scheduled to open in early 2018, the new property is part of an expansion by Free Way Group into international branded hotels.
Eduardo Rodriguez Suarez of Hilton Worldwide said the 105-room, five-storey hotel would be located in a new-build, mixed-use development with retail and parking space and a plaza that will be donated to the city.
Hampton by Hilton Bariloche will feature meeting space and a fitness centre, with free wi-fi, coffeemaker and flat-screen TV in each room.
Additional amenities will include a free hot breakfast, 24hr snack area and a bar area with evening dining options.
The hotel will be five minutes from the Centro Civico, and many rooms will have views to Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Other Hilton Worldwide properties in South America include Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman, Hilton Buenos Aires and Anselmo Buenos Aires, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. The Bariloche property is the parent group’s fourth in Argentina.
