Mexico has gained two new hotels under the Marriott International flag with the opening of the 188-room AC Hotel Guadalajara Mexico and the 175-room Hotel Queretaro Antea.
Both properties are owned and were developed by FibraHotel and will be operated by Marriott International. Both hotels feature library and lounge areas suitable for business meetings or where guests can connect with friends over cocktails. Free wi-fi is provided throughout.
The AC brand was founded in 1998 by hotelier Antonio Catalan, who grew it into one of the most respected in Spain.
Following success in Europe, a joint venture was formed with Marriott International in 2011, which launched AC Hotels by Marriott globally into France, Denmark and the US, and now Mexico.
These Mexico openings mark the first venture by the brand into the Caribbean and Latin America region.
Further openings are planned later this year in Mexico City (Mexico), Panama City (Panama), and Santiago (Chile), with two hotels for Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in time for the summer Olympics.
