Heathrow return to ITV

Television fame beckons for staff at Heathrow when the second series of ‘Heathrow: Britain’s Busiest Airport’ begins on ITV tonight (30 May).

The three-part series looks at the variety of roles undertaken daily by some of the 76,0000 people who work at the airport. The first set of programmes proved highly popular, with more than 3m viewers tuning in.

This evening at 9pm, episode 1 features security officers working in Terminal 4, passenger experience managers from T2 and animal health officers at the Heathrow Animal Reception Centre.

The centre is owned and managed by the City of London Corporation in its role as the port health authority for the capital.

Some of the staff stepping into the limelight include T4 security officer Shahid Saleen, who has worked at Heathrow for 10 years; Callum Riseley, a passenger service manager in the operations team for T2 and T3, who has worked at the airport for four years; and animal health officer Victoria Howell, who has held the job for almost three years.
