Radisson Blu £12m revamp

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Edinburgh, part of the Carlson Rezidor group, has completed a £12m investment programme which has transformed the whole property.

Work to upgrade the 238-room property in a commanding position on the Royal Mile started in early 2015 and has seen all bedrooms, meeting rooms, public areas and the Melrose Spa and Health Club improved.

General manager Richard Mayne said: “This has been a very significant investment and the entire hotel now feels very different – a contemporary style with a local, Edinburgh flavour.”

Ground-floor space has also been restyled, with space for casual meetings, coffee in the lounge or a lunch or dinner date in the Itchycoo bar and restaurant.

The Health Club has been given a state-of-the-art fitness centre complete with gym, indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room.

As well as adding media hubs offering guests latest in in-room technology, the refurbishment has also seen the hotel's meetings and events space restyled with extra lighting and new audiovisual equipment.

Flexible break-out areas have been redesigned to suit a range of event and conference set-ups while meeting delegates can benefit from upgraded wi-fi lines into the hotel, delivering fast and free connections for all.
