UK – Cape Town by Lufthansa

Lufthansa is resuming its UK – Frankfurt – Cape Town route this winter with a three-a-week service on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays starting on 2 December.

The airline says the flights will offer “quick and easy connections” for UK passengers and reinforce Cape Town’s position as one of its most important markets after Johannesburg in southern Africa.

The new service will enable Lufthansa to boost connections to other destinations in the region in partnership with its fellow Star Alliance member South African Airways.

Cape Town will be served by a 279-seat Airbus A340-300 from the Frankfurt hub offering Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

LH576 will depart Frankfurt at 22:10, arriving in Cape Town the following morning at 11:00. Return flights depart Cape Town at 18:30, arriving in Frankfurt the following morning at 05:30.

Lufthansa says as well as serving the UK market, the departure and arrival times enable ideal connections to the whole of its route network.
