London City Airport has opened a First Class lounge available to all to provide a “seamless experience” from kerb to aircraft steps or vice versa on payment of a £180 fee.
The facility offers departing passengers the luxury of being collected from the terminal or airport car park and transported directly to the lounge where food and drinks are served.
Luggage is taken care of from when passengers arrive at the airport until they step on to the aircraft.
When it’s time to board, passengers pass through a private security screening area for a private chauffeured drive to the aircraft.
Arriving passengers are collected with their luggage and driven to the lounge, where they pass through and clear all customs and immigration checks through a private lane within the facility.
Once processed, passengers have full use of the facilities until ready to complete their onward journeys.
If time is of the essence and a passenger needs to leave quickly, one of the team can take him or her to the LCY car parks to collect a car or to the DLR station.
There is also a private car service for an extra charge to collect passengers from the lounge and take them where they need to be. www.londoncityairport.com
