A promise of more new routes and new cabin interiors came from Ryanair this week as the airline announced it is to open a new base at Prague Airport, its 84th such facility, on 30 October.
The airline will base two aircraft at the new facility and add two new routes, to Milan and Rome, which it says will deliver 625,000 customers a year and support 470 jobs.
The addition of the new routes will mean Ryanair will operate a total of five from the Czech capital, including Brussels, with nine flights a week; a daily service to Dublin and a twice-daily to London.
Chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said the expansion was another stage in the airline’s ‘Always Getting Better’ programme.
“This growth is an integral part of our continued expansion plans for both the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe, as we connect Prague with Europe’s key centres of business with high-frequency business-friendly services,” he added.
“Our 106m customers can look forward to further improvements under the AGB programme, which will include more new routes, a new app, new cabin interiors and new crew uniforms. www.ryanair.com
