Korean Air's London A380

Long established on the Heathrow-Seoul route, Korean Air becomes the latest A380 operator into London tomorrow (Tuesday 29 March). The single daily flight will compete with both British Airways' Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Asiana's Boeing 777, also daily services. Flight time for all is just under 11 hours.

Seoul’s Incheon Airport (ICN)  is 43 miles west of the city but efficient public transport gets travellers downtown in less than 45 minutes on the subway.

Besides the sheer size and public acceptance of the A380, Korean scores with its Celestial Bar for First and Prestige Class passengers, serving six exclusive Korean Air cocktails during the flight, and also a ‘Duty Free Showcase’ available to all passengers regardless of class.

With Korean Air, the 12-passenger Kosmo Suite First Class section is in the lower deck at the front, while the whole of the upper deck is given over to 96 Prestige Class travellers in a 2+2+2 layout.

At Heathrow, Korean Air operates out of the much less busy T4, and as a member of Skyteam uses that group's large two-floor lounge with full amenities.  www.koreanair.com
