Spain’s first Park Hyatt hotel is now taking reservations for stays from 1 June. The brand new hotel is close to the island’s northeast resort of Canyamel and is the result of a management agreement with local real-estate developer Grupo Cap Vermell.
Overlooking the Canyamel valley and Mediterranean beyond, the hilltop-village-styled hotel offers 142 guest rooms and 16 suites (each suite with private terrace), and choice of restaurants and bars. Leisure facilities include three outdoor swimming pools (two heated), wellness centre and spa, and 24hr fitness centre.
Park Hyatt Mallorca will be open throughout the year and offer various facilities for business travellers. “We are excited to be introducing to the MICE market Hyatt’s Residence Concept, which is a suite of eight individually styled meeting rooms clustered around a central plaza,” says general manager John Beveridge, previously at the Grand Hyatt Dubai.
A separate 225sq m ballroom, with large terrace and vehicular access for exhibitions, and a business centre are also available.
Park Hyatt Mallorca guests may use the facilities of Grupo Cap Vermell’s adjacent country club, including all-purpose sports field, tennis courts and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The 18-hole Canyamel golf course is also close by. http://mallorca.park.hyatt.com
