Norse to New York

Next Friday (12 August) sees the introduction of the Norse daily service between Gatwick and New York JFK.

It also marks the introduction of daily Gatwick – Oslo flights, again operated by its Dreamliner aircraft. Norse said the service will allow UK customers to connect with its Oslo routes to Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles and Orlando where the airline has interline agreements with Spirit Airlines.  How this ties in with JetBlue’s proposed takeover of Spirit and its major JFK operation remains to be seen.  (As reported in this week's BTN JetBlue and Boston.)

Norse will offer two cabins, Economy and Premium, and three fares – Light, Classic and Plus, the former being its no frills budget option and the latter including maximum baggage allowance, two meal services, and enhanced airport and onboard experience plus greater ticket flexibility.

Norse Atlantic Airways made its maiden flight Tuesday 14 June with a service to New York JFK Airport.
