Marriott International’s portfolio of independent hotels, the Autograph Collection, has added three more one-of-a-kind properties in important US business centres to its line-up.
The collection now has 93 members worldwide, well on the way to this year’s target of 100, including the St Ermin’s Hotel and Threadneedles in London, and the Glasshouse in Edinburgh.
The newly-opened hotels are the Envoy, Boston; Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook in Birmingham, Alabama, and the Citizen in Sacramento.
Launched in 2010, the Autograph Collection has grown from five to more than 90 hotels in five years, making it not only Marriott International’s fastest-growing brand, but one of the fastest growing in the industry.
The Envoy in Boston is a new property in the Innovation District with 136 rooms with views overlooking the city and waterfront.
In Birmingham, Alabama, the Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook is a 100-room boutique hotel with more than 12,500sq ft of event space, rooftop restaurant and an art gallery.
The Citizen occupies Sacramento’s historic California Life Insurance Building, the city’s first skyscraper when it was built in 1925. The hotel has 196 rooms and 9,000sq ft of meeting space, including a 3,000sq ft tented roof deck with city views. www.autograph-hotels.marriott.com
