Irish airline Aer Lingus has announced its schedule for winter 2013 including two new services and increased frequencies on 12 routes.

Flights from Dublin to Toulouse will continue through the winter, for the first time, offering ease of access to ski resorts in the Pyrenees.  Flights from Shannon to Lanzarote will start on 26 October and continue through to the end of March, offering customers in the mid-West a perfect winter sun getaway.

In addition, Aer Lingus Regional will operate two daily return flights from Dublin to Newcastle from 24 October. (See BTN 26 August)

Frequencies will be increased on a further 12 popular routes including Geneva, Hamburg, Lisbon, Lyon, Malaga and Paris, but some to meet increasing demand from travellers.

There is significant growth in the long haul schedule.  People travelling between Dublin and Boston will benefit from an extra four weekly flights, bringing the total number of services per week to 11.  Flights from Shannon to Boston will operate daily services, year-round, from January.

Aer Lingus’ Director of Communications, Declan Kearney said:  "We are very encouraged with recent figures released by the Central Statistics Office indicating that visitors to Ireland are up 15% from North America, with Mainland European visitors up almost 8%, so far this year. www.aerlingus.com
