Munich Airport’s ‘Kinderland’

Kinderland, landside in the Munich Airport Center, has re-opened.  It now features bright, cheerful colours and materials, larger rooms, lots more for the little ones to do, and a separate "Parents' Lounge".

On weekdays from Monday to Friday, travellers and airport visitors can leave their children in the care of trained childcare staff between 14:00 and 20:00.  The first hour is free of charge, and there is a fee of €3 for each additional hour.  On weekends and holidays, Kinderland opens at 11:00.

Highlights of the fully revamped Kinderland include a big "Adventure Plane", where children can climb and slide, a children's cinema, and a corner for arts, crafts and games.  Naturally a games console (Nintendo Wii) is also on hand as well as a wide selection of books and cuddly toys.  The birthday room in the new Kinderland is bigger and better than before.  With advance reservations, children can celebrate their special day here with up to nine friends.

For the parents of the little ones, a special "Lounge" has been set up where they can relax or get some work done while they wait.  During holidays, Kinderland also plans to offer special events for the little visitors. www.munich-airport.de/kinderland
