Salon Prive approaches

Wednesday (31 August) will see the preview day of what has become the world’s most prestigious motoring concours event.

Steeped in history, built by the nation as a thank you to the Duke of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, the lawns of Blenheim Palace will host Salon Privé and a spectacular turnout of cars from a bygone age mixing with the designs of tomorrow.

Spread over five days (Wednesday to Sunday) the first two are given over to the Concours d’Elégance , then Ladies Day, Salon Privé Club day, and finally a dynamic day of action for the whole family as the event winds up with a specular hill climb.

If you are not into cars but like the good things in life the Salon Privé Luxury Retail Village offers a specially curated collection of opulence, each display representing a different element of an indulgent lifestyle. With everything from helicopters, private jets and boats right the way through to milliners, tailors and now exclusive watches at Salon Privé TIME, the shopping experience has something for everyone.

And there is dining, the Glass House at Salon Privé overlooking the Water Terraces and Blenheim Palace’s Lake where guests will enjoy a three-course tasting menu with fine wines, sumptuous Afternoon Tea and a full complimentary bar. The Spencer Pavilion and its al fresco extension is a fine alternative and a complimentary bar.
