The Plaza Skiathos has opened on the Greek island of the same name.

It is about five miles from the airport which has many seasonal flights including London City, and all year around services from Athens with Olympic Air and Sky Express.

Skiathos is known for its unspoiled natural beauty and exquisite sandy beaches on the blue waters of the Aegean Sea.  It was the location for the filming of Mamma Mia and is known for its stunning coastline of more than 60 beaches with soft sand and clear blue waters, as well as sea caves, impressive rock formations, and hiking trails on the tree-covered hills along the north shore.  The island’s Byzantine churches and monasteries, Venetian-style Bourtzi fortress, and Papadiamantis House with its typical architecture are important parts of the island’s rich history.
