Stansted (STN) has returned to the Emirates network with a daily three-class Boeing 777-300ER service.
This is earlier than planned, the congestion at Heathrow has given the Dubai-based airline an opportunity to offer more seats and connectively at the Gulf hub. The airline is also currently serving Gatwick with three daily flights until 3 August.
Emirates currently offers seven gateways in the UK. By October, the airline will be serving the country with 110 weekly flights, including: six times daily to Heathrow; the daily service to Stansted; Gatwick with a A380; three times daily to Manchester, including a double daily A380 service (starting 1 October); double daily service to Birmingham; five weekly flights to Newcastle; and a daily service to Glasgow.
The Stansted timings are very passenger friendly departing 21:10 with arrival early morning 07:10, and in the other direction leaving Dubai at 08:50 and arrive in Stansted at 13:30 (local times). The news follows Stansted lounge upgrade in BTN 1 August and with it a Bottega Prosecco Bar & Caffé and the opportunity to taste Bottega’s carefully selected still and sparkling wines. Each wine can be paired with traditional Venetian and Italian food specialities, which includes a range of sharing platters.
