Something for Midlanders on Saturday 13 August. New for 2022 is a colourful mixture of musical entertainment – from classical to pop, opera to swing designed to celebrate the summer in a unique outdoor setting with a backdrop of aircraft and historic hangars!
The Cosford RAF Museum has partnered up with Fizz Festivals for this innovative event, a festival of music, fun and food featuring some of the best talent across the country, supported by local acts.
Gates to the event area will open at 14:00. The entertainment will start at 15:00 with the finish just after 21:00.
Hosted by BBC Radio Shropshire’s Paul Shuttleworth the day will offer an afternoon and evening filled with six hours of music and entertainment. A variety of solo performers and bands will entertain the audience and encourage all to dance and sing along. As a rousing finale the orchestra plans to lead the audience through all the Last Night of the Proms favourites.
The organisers say that the best plan is to lay out a picnic blanket, or set the scene with table, chairs, and of course Union Jack bunting and hand waving flags! Family tickets are £52 (2 adults and 3 children with kids under 5 free) but they must be booked in advance.
