Luxury travel on stage

The Luxury Travel Fair, presented by Condé Nast Traveller magazine and offering what organisers say is an unrivalled collection of immersive and tailor-made luxury travel experiences on the market, returns to London’s Olympia from 1-4 November.

The 2018 event, first held in 2006 and attracting nearly 13,000 visitors last year, will boast up to 80 specialist tour operators talking about travel ideas for honeymooners, families, single explorers and retirees, among others.

There will also be talks from personalities in the Traveller’s Tales Theatre and visitors can wind down to toast their travel plans over a glass or two of bubbles in the Louis Roederer champagne bar.

Fair director Catherine Thake said: “Visitors to this year’s fair will be able to discover the definitive collection of high-end travel experiences while meeting experts from all corners of the globe, create bespoke travel itineraries and learn about the latest travel trends from luxury brands.”

The event will also feature a Sketch for Survival exhibition with drawings by celebrities and artists to promote its official charity partner, Real World Conservation Trust, part of the Explorers against Extinction campaign.

Contributors, each of whom has submitted an artwork highlighting animal welfare,  include Mary Berry, Frederick Forsyth, Dame Judi Dench, Nick Park, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Stephen Fry and Dame Helen Mirren.
