London bizjet campaign

Air taxi operator GlobeAir has announced a strategic partnership with London City Airport as part of the airport’s campaign to attract more business aircraft to its Private Jet Centre, the only one within the capital.

The airline says the airport's location means passengers arrive closer to key business districts, three miles from Canary Wharf and five miles from the City. Business jet users arriving at the jet centre can be on their way within 90sec after clearing Customs.

Bernhard Fragner, CEO of GlobeAir, which operates the world´s largest fleet of Citation Mustang jets, said: “London is our second biggest market and it’s growing rapidly.

“Last year we operated 492 departures from London-based airports against 368 in 2015, an increase of 34%.  By offering clients the opportunity to use London City Airport, we expect to see further significant growth in our London-based business.”

LCY director of business aviation Nick Rose added: “We have ambitious growth plans and a key part of this is to attract more business aircraft with our offer to business travellers of unparalleled access to London and unbeatable convenience and speed.”
