Munich Oktoberfest hotel opening

Right on time for the start of the Oktoberfest, Israeli company Leonardo Hotels has opened its ninth hotel in Munich.  The 3-star Leonardo Hotel Munich City South is a purpose-built new build.

It is situated south of the city centre in the district of Obersendling.

All 159 rooms provide free wi-fi, coffee makers, and LCD TVs.  The open lobby has direct access to the bar and restaurant.

A 247m2 conference area offers an adjoining roof terrace.  Three smaller rooms with space for up to 150 guests are equipped for events of all kinds.  Other features are a 24hr reception service, business centre and underground parking, useful in Munich where the winter weather can be severe.

Daniel Roger, managing director Europe, explains: “Munich is an important location for us.  We welcome the incredible number of bookings we have already received before the official opening.  This underscores our plan to add more hotels to our Munich operation.  The Leonardo Hotel Munich City South will not be our last hotel. Already next year, two more hotels are due to open in the city, which will significantly strengthen our presence on site.  We have a lot more that we want to achieve.”
