Fare deals from Malaysia

New Malaysia Airlines CEO Peter Bellew (BTN 4 July) is already making his impact at the company with the introduction of bargain fares to various destinations including Australia.

An airline seat sale launched last week has savings of up to 30% off selected flights via the premier route between Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur.

UK passengers can experience Malaysia’s A380 superjumbo service, offering the latest in-flight comfort and technology on the most spacious and efficient aircraft in the skies.

Seats are now on sale via the airline website for travel up to 31 March 2017, including the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Chief commercial officer Paul Simmons, formerly of easyJet and Flybe, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer passengers affordable flights to south-east Asia and Australasia via the Heathrow – Kuala Lumpur route.

“Whether it’s a beach break, active adventure or city escape to relax during or after a business trip, Malaysia Airlines has something for everyone.”

Destinations and prices on offer include Kuala Lumpur direct from Heathrow £499, Langkawi £519; Penang: £519; Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Bali £509; Phuket £499; Sydney and Melbourne £669, and Auckland £759.

Bookings must be made by midnight on 31 July.
