Aeromexico boost for Heathrow

A sixth weekly flight between Heathrow and Mexico City joins the Aeromexico schedule this month for the summer, running until October.

Aeromexico uses a 243-seat B787 Dreamliner which includes 32 seats in its business cabin, Clase Premier, and says the new flight is to meet high demand for business as well as leisure travel during the summer months.

Clase Premier features 180deg flatbed seats, extra legroom, increased storage capacity for carry-on bags, bigger windows and individual touchscreens with access to 20 films and 36 TV series.

Business Class passengers are also offered a chauffeur-car service to the airport.

Services from London connect with 46 Aeromexico destinations including Cancún, Cozumel, Guadalajara, Los Cabos, Mérida, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta, Querétaro, Veracruz and Villahermosa.

Flights also offer access to more than 30 international destinations including Bogotá, Buenos Aires, the Dominican Republic, Havana, Los Angeles, New York, São Paulo, and Vancouver.

Senior vice-president global sales Jorge Goytortua said: “The London route, which started in 2013, is particularly important for Aeromexico because it favours so many air-travel connections between the two capital cities.”

Aeromexico is to host next year’s IATA annual general meeting, which will take place in Cancun between from 4-6 June.
