Milan debut for Leonardo

Leonardo Hotels has acquired its first property in Italy after taking over the 4-star superior graded Hermitage, now renamed Leonardo Hotel Milan City Center.

The hotel has 130 deluxe and superior rooms and suites and offers traditional Italian style. Leonardo says it is ideal for business travellers as it is close to the MICO congress centre, while Milan’s top attractions are within a few minutes’ walk.

Other facilities include free wi-fi access in all public areas and rooms, while guests seeking a professional environment for meetings and events or a private setting for functions have access to four meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 200 people.

A company spokesman said Leonardo Hotels was "setting its focus" on expansion throughout Europe and was proud it had been able to add Milan to its destination portfolio.

Further expansion within Italy has already been planned with another hotel opening in Milan next spring. The company says the property will have 300 rooms and will be in a similar top location in the city.  www.leonardo-hotels.com
