Singapore Airlines survey

With its new Premium Economy product due to enter service in August, Singapore Airlines has been stepping up the public relations.

The airline has been conducting some research with YouGov, concentrating on those that have flown long haul in the last 12 months, to find out the top five things that make flying a pleasurable experience.

•    77% of long haul flyers said the level of comfort on board such as the seat and legroom makes flying a more pleasurable experience
•    64% said everything being included on the flight and no additional costs makes for a better flying experience
•    55% said the quality of the food on board the flight is important
•    55% said the service from the ground staff is important
•    49% said the entertainment on board and having your own TV makes for a better flying experience

Premium Economy Class will welcome customers with a contemporary and stylish design.  Each seat has a width of either 18.5 or 19.5 inches, depending on aircraft type, with an 8-inch recline and a seat pitch of 38 inches.  Together with active noise-cancelling headphones and a sleek 13.3-inch full HD monitor which is the largest in its class, customers can look forward to an enhanced in-flight entertainment experience.

Other features include a full leather finishing, calf-rest and foot-bar for every seat, individual in-seat power supply, two USB ports, personal in-seat reading light, cocktail table, and more stowage space for personal items.  www.singaporeair.com
