DFW rail link

The final segment of Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s (DART) Orange Line rail service to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will start its operations on 18 August.

The 5-mile segment links newly renovated Terminal A and Belt Line Station, with continuing service to major regional destinations including Irving-Las Colinas, Dallas Market Center and downtown Dallas.

People who board the train at DFW Airport Station will be able to reach key North Texas destinations accessible from DART Rail, including the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Dallas Arts District, NorthPark Center, Fair Park, American Airlines Center, Irving Convention Center and corporate campuses in Richardson.

DART has made upgrades to the user-friendliness of its system in recent years.  Improvements include GPS-based next-train information on variable message boards at each station and GoPass℠, a free mobile ticketing app that allows riders to download a paperless ticket right on their smartphones, with no need for exact change.  Conveniently, users can store several tickets electronically in the app and activate them as needed, as well as access trip-planning information. www.dfwairport.com
