Manchester new-look lounge

Passengers at Manchester Airport are being invited to start their journeys in style after a new look and expanded Escape Lounge was unveiled in Terminal Two last week.

The airport has spent £1.9m on the facility, which has increased capacity by a third with room for up to 212 passengers. A new kitchen and bar have also been added by knocking two lounges into one.

Parent company the Manchester Airport Group (MAG) launched its Escape Lounge brand in Terminal 2 in 2006, and has grown it to include facilities in Terminal 1 in 2010 and in Terminal 3 in 2013, as well as launching at East Midlands Airport and Stansted in 2014.

MAG has also taken the Escape Lounge concept across the Atlantic, opening its first facility in the US at Minneapolis-St Paul Airport.

This will followed this year with one at Oakland International Airport and a further one set to open this winter at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut (BTN 11 July).
