Ryanair taps business routes

Important business destinations are included in Ryanair’s newly-announced summer 2017 schedules, which include the airline’s biggest commitment yet to Newcastle and Leeds airports.

From Newcastle, the carrier is offering three new routes to Faro, Girona and Palma, five new summer services to Gdansk, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Warsaw and Wroclaw, and more flights to Alicante, Dublin and Malaga.

Leeds will see a new route to Girona, four new summer services to Bratislava, Gran Canaria, Vilnius and Warsaw, and more flights to Alicante, Faro, Ibiza, Krakow, Lanzarote, Palma and Tenerife.

Ryanair said it will double its traffic on flights to and from Newcastle to 750,000 passengers and expects to carry 1.3m on services to and from Leeds.

The Newcastle schedule will consist of five flights a week to Faro, two a week to Girona, dailies to Palma and Alicante, twice-daily flights to Dublin, five flights a week to Malaga, and twice-weekly services to Gdansk, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Warsaw and Wroclaw.

From Leeds, Ryanair will offer twice weekly flights to Girona, Bratislava, Gran Canaria, Vilnius and Warsaw; dailies flights to Alicante and Faro; three a week to Tenerife; four a week to Ibiza, Krakow and Lanzarote; and eight a week to Palma.
