More services for IndiGo

Indian domestic carrier IndiGo has launched a major expansion of its network this month with 14 new flights across key cities.

From 1 May, it began operations connecting Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, Kolkata to Hyderabad, Bengaluru to Jaipur and Chennai to Kochi.

The next day, it added connections from Kochi to Chennai and Jaipur to Bengaluru, and on Friday increased frequencies between Delhi and Srinagar and Delhi and Jaipur.

IndiGo, which claims to be the fastest-growing airline in India, now operates 759 flights connecting 40 destinations.

Based at Gurgaon, it is also the largest airline in India in terms of passengers carried and reported a 36.8% market share as of February.

In all, the airline operates more than 1,440 daily flights to 80 destinations, serviced by a fleet of single-class A320neos.

President Aditya Ghosh said: “We are delighted to announce additional frequencies between these cities.

“The increased flow of traffic to and from these cities gave us a great opportunity to offer passengers more chances to experience the hassle-free and on-time performance that IndiGo has become synonymous with.

“We are confident these flights will prove to be just as popular and convenient to our passengers.”   https://book.goindigo.in
